Qualifying Counsellor

To begin therapy is, in its own quiet way, an act of courage. It often comes when something no longer feels as it should — when familiar ways of coping fall short, and we find ourselves stuck, uncertain, or weighed down by thoughts and feelings we can’t fully make sense of alone. By simply coming as you are, we can begin to gently explore what has been shaping your inner world.

I aim to bring a grounded and warm presence into the room, following your lead without rushing the process. My approach is integrative, drawing from person-centred, psychodynamic, and Gestalt traditions, with a strong emphasis on the therapeutic relationship as the foundation for meaningful change. Within a genuine sense of safety and trust, I’ll help you to notice well-worn patterns, explore difficult emotions, and discover new ways of relating — to yourself and to others.

As a trainee counsellor and member of the BACP, I work in accordance with their ethical framework, currently training at Masters level in Counselling and Psychotherapy at UWE Bristol. Over time, I hope therapy can become a place not only to face what is painful, but to recognise what has been quietly resilient within you all along.
