Petrina Smith

Qualifying Counsellor

I am currently training for the CPCAB Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. My approach is rooted in authenticity, warmth, and a deep belief in the healing potential of a safe, trusting therapeutic relationship. I work in a person‑centred way, offering a steady, accepting space where you can explore your experiences at your own pace, without judgement or expectation.

Much of what I bring to my practice comes from my own lived experience. I understand how early experiences, family dynamics, trauma, abuse, and major life transitions can shape the way we relate to ourselves and others. As someone who is neurodivergent and living with ADHD, I also recognise what it can feel like to navigate the world with a mind that works differently, and the emotional impact that this can have. These experiences inform my empathy, my presence, and my ability to meet people who feel overwhelmed, misunderstood, or disconnected from themselves.

I am passionate about therapy and deeply committed to my training and development. My intention is to create a warm, grounded environment where you can reflect, make sense of your feelings, and reconnect with your own inner resources, supported by a genuine and attuned therapeutic relationship.
